Hi, I’m Mackenzie, the owner and stylist behind Mack Designs. I’ve been in the beauty industry for over 13 years and have always believed that great hair goes beyond the surface — it’s about helping people feel confident, refreshed, and like the best version of themselves.
Located in Churchville, Maryland, Mack Designs was created to be a space where guests can relax, unwind, and truly enjoy their time in the chair. My approach is all about enhancing your natural beauty with personalized services, attention to detail, and a touch of creativity.
Whether you’re coming in for a fresh color, a new cut, or getting ready for your wedding day, my goal is to make every experience feel effortless and genuine — never rushed, never one-size-fits-all.

My Story
In 2013, after spending five years as a stay-at-home mom and going through a divorce, I decided to follow my passion and enroll in cosmetology school. I attended Paul Mitchell The School, where I earned my cosmetology license. During my training, I had the honor of being part of the Design Team and was selected for the elite Phase II program.
After graduating, I began my career at Mane Line Design—the same salon where my mom worked for over 30 years. Although I didn’t get the chance to work beside her, I was lucky to work with her best friend and the salon’s owner, Dianne, for seven amazing years.
When Dianne began talking about retirement, I was nervous about what my next step would be. That’s when Mack Designs was born. In 2021, I took the leap and opened my own business. It was a scary decision, especially coming out of a pandemic, but here I am—celebrating thirteen years as a cosmetologist!
I’m incredibly grateful to the new owner of the building for welcoming me with open arms and allowing me to create a space where I can continue pampering my clients while introducing them to new services and experiences.
